If however, the submission of the report from the Surveyor
General will be delayed from any cause, it may be desirable to
proceed with the preparation of the Crane described in the R-
-quisition recently received, acting entirely on the lines laid
down therein. To clear up the point as to the date when the
full report may be expected, it would, in my opinion, be desir-
-able, to send a cablerram to the Coleny; on the receipt of
the reply thereto
at a definite decision might be arrived
